This summer: The cross-platform party support will arrive at Rocket League
May. 17, 2018

Psyonix announced that Rocket League receives the long-awaited support of the cross-platform this summer.

The feature will be available as part of an update scheduled for July or August.

The cross-platform Friends and Parties function works as follows: Save an ID within the game that is a combination of a name with a unique code, add friends from other platforms by entering your ID in the new friends list and join the game your new ones cross-platform friends and play online. It looks great!

Psyonix did not say which platforms would use cross-platform support, but it seems to be working in the same way that the cross-platform game of the Rocket League works today. For example, PC players can now work with the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players, but the PS4 can not be associated with the Xbox One or Nintendo Switch players.

Meanwhile, Psyonix has announced the Rocket Pass, which contains several levels of usable content. As you increase your level while climbing normally, you will unlock new unique content on the fly; It also has free and premium tracks. The free track contains new cosmetic items, as well as decipherers and titles of exclusive games, while the premium track will have a fixed unlocking cost.
